Red Baron Arcade cancelled for the PS3?

A while back I reported that Red Baron Arcade was due to be released today on the PS3 network.  However, the game never surfaced.  Mark Fajardo at GamersPlatform contacted Jennifer Chong, a spokesperson for the game, who gave him some grim news:

Sadly, Red Baron was never completed; they had to stop the project when Sierra Online was incorporated into Activision-Vivendi.

Boo! This is just another part of the fallout with the recent Activision-Blizzard merger.

Well, we still have Red Baron Arcade on the PC.  I played the game a bit - it was fun and all, but nothing that can stand up over time.  At the time I played, there were no multiplayer servers up as well.  Bad sign.

But still, it looks like a lot of PS3 owners were looking forward to its release on their console.  Maybe we'll see it in the future?
